A request from the Raffle Committee (editted):

Dear wonderful Lions of Zone C-4, We are planning for a great District Spring Conference to wrap up this year and to start the transition to the coming Lions year. The District Governor’s Conference is always the most productive and entertaining of those available to us and deals with issues closest to our hearts.

Zone C-4 people have been asked to coordinate and to run the fund raising for this year’s conference. Bremerton Central has taken on primary coordination responsibilities for the effort, but needs your help.

We are planning both a raffle and a Silent Auction to help raise the necessary funds.

We are asking each District C club to participate by either:

1. Donating items that can be raffled or sold via silent auction (target to raise $75), or

2. Make a direct donation of $75. (Check made out to District MD19-C and sent to Marilyn Danby at 4323 S Warner St. Apt. A, Tacoma, WA 98409 or to me at 6445 Bronco Pl. NW, Bremerton, WA 98311).

Funds raised will pay for the expenses of our room-use (for general sessions, meetings and seminars), visiting International Director expenses, lunch for the keynote speaker, printing of tickets, badges, the event program, election ballots, etc. We ask each club to select from the two donation alternatives above and let me know of your decision by email with copy to our Zone Chairperson not later than 15 Jan 2009.
